Start College Early

Get a jump-start on your post-secondary education.

Langara College is offering 30 grade 12 students from across BC the opportunity to take a first-year college-level Photography course before graduation.

The course is PHOT1100: Photographic Explorations - strengthen your technical photography skills and push your creative boundaries.

Course Format

Course Format:

  • One hour/week online to connect with faculty.

  • One/month online meetup to share work with classmates.

  • Three days of in-person workshops in Vancouver during spring break, in the Langara Photography studios, working with students and faculty from the Professional Photography department.

What’s Included

  • 3 university transfer credits. Transferable to 15 post secondary institutions in BC.

  • Use of a Canon mirrorless camera for all of your assignments.

  • 4 month Translink bus pass

Course Format

Runs January to April 2026.

Cost for January 2026 start is approximately $1,000.
